HelianWell provides general education and support for parents and caregivers. It is not medical care.
- Our courses, articles, livestreams, community, coaching, and Heli, our AI assistant, are general information. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Some HelianWell experts hold clinical credentials. On HelianWell they share general education. They are not acting as your or your child's healthcare provider, and using HelianWell does not create a provider–patient relationship.
- Talk to your doctor, midwife, or your child's pediatrician about any health question, and before changing feeding, sleep, medicine, or care routines.
- Never ignore or delay medical advice because of something you read or heard on HelianWell.
- For sleep, follow your pediatrician's advice and safe sleep guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics: baby alone, on their back, on a firm, flat surface, with nothing else in the sleep space.
If it's an emergency
If you think you or your child may be having a medical emergency, call 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK, 000 in Australia, or your local emergency number.
If you're struggling
If you're struggling with your mood or thoughts, including thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, you're not alone. In the US, call or text 988, or the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline at 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262). In Canada, call or text 988. In the UK, call Samaritans at 116 123. In Australia, call Lifeline at 13 11 14.
What 1:1 coaching is
Coaching is a private video session — 30 or 60 minutes, depending on the package — with a HelianWell coach about everyday parenting: routines, sleep habits, feeding plans you've discussed with your provider, play, development activities, and how you're coping. Your coach shares general education and practical ideas, and can help you prepare questions for your healthcare provider.
What coaching isn't
Coaching isn't medical care, a medical consultation, therapy, or counseling. Coaches don't diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and they don't review symptoms, test results, or medicines. If a question needs a medical opinion, your coach will ask you to contact your healthcare provider.
Each coach's profile lists their real training and credentials. Some coaches hold professional licenses, but in a HelianWell session they act as coaches, not as your healthcare provider.
